The capital Funchal can be reached by local bus or a 25 minute car journey.
There are many walks around Calheta and easy access to the plateau of Paul da Serra, with its many levada walks, makes this villa perfectly located for walking in Madeira and for enjoying a lovely holiday surrounded by the beautiful Madeira countryside.
Further Details: Madeira is very famous for its levada walks and many are accessible from this side of the island.
Surfing is also a popular sport locally in Paul Do Mar and the European Windsurfing Championships were held in Funchal. in 2012.
Madeira is know as the floating garden, and for botanists there is much to admire all over the island, and several beautiful gardens to visit in Funchal.

For Sunday arrivals and out of hours check-in, alternative arrangements will be made and an additional cost will apply.
Check-in and check-out flexibility will be applied where possible, but this will depend on housekeeping schedules and the departure and arrival days of other reservations either side of your stay; a definitive answer can only be provided within 24 hours of your arrival for check-in and your departure for check-out.
A security deposit of 200€ is required by credit card prior to check-in.
The payment of a Tourist Tax has been implemented for all arriving visitors on or after 01 October 2024 across all of Madeira and Porto Santo by the local Municipalities.

We have enjoyed a lovely week at this property. We are gratefull we could check in a little bit earlier as we arrived early morning. The house is spacious and clean. Room for improvement would be: a different coffeemaker and new sunbeds. There were 3 and all very rusty and uncomfortable. O and in th...

Das Haus unter unserem Ferienhaus wurde renoviert, was mit einer hohen Lärmbelästigung einherging.
Bettwäsche und Handtücher wurden nach einer Woche gewechselt, eine Reinigung hat jedoch nicht stattgefunden.
Das Haus ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen - so blättert die Farbe stellenweise von der Wand....

Sehr schönes Haus, gute Ausgestattung, Grillplatz im Garten, mit einem wundervollen Blick aufs Meer und auf die Berge. Gute und ruhig Lage. Nicht weit zu den schönsten Wanderrouten. Jederzeit wieder!
