Eastbourne itself is a classic 19th-century English seaside resort complete with promenade and pier, nestling at the edge of the South Downs National Park.
Visit the award-winning Turner Contemporary Gallery, enjoy an evening at the theatre or indulge in a spot of retail therapy.
Pevensey Castle, Brighton and Herstmonceux Observatory Science Centre make for great days out for the whole family.
