Cavendish Golf Club is 5 minutes’ walk from the house, and a walk from the front door into the hills or a stroll into the heart of Buxton takes only 10 minutes.
Buxton has much to offer including its spectacular Pavilion Gardens, the amazing Devonshire Dome with its Victorian spa, the opera house, as well as unique shops and restaurants to cater for all tastes.
Guests may like to arrange a visit to coincide with a show at the Buxton Opera House which is a fantastic venue for all sorts of shows.
Comedians such as Alan Carr and John Richardson have all made appearances, as well as music from Russell Watson, The Buzzcocks, Bellowhead and Scouting for girls.
Tribute bands to Pink Floyd, Abba and Queen have also featured, as well as many plays, operas and children’s shows.
There is an abundance of places to visit from stately homes such as Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, together with many great villages to visit.

Was a lovely family get together. The house was perfect for our large family and its proximity to Buxton was fantastic. Found cooking interesting as the hob buttons are metal and get very hot when oven is in use, very minor issue as oven gloves were provided.

Great stay with family for our 50th wedding anniversary. Suggest some sort of hand rail into pool as my wife slipped on the step as she was entering the pool and had a badly bruised back, but still would recommend the place to everyone

A wonderful house, so warm and homely. Everything we needed for our family break.. and the pool was fabulous. Only one ‘hiccup’.. the bedroom located next to the pool, is not suitable for light sleepers.. young grandson slept well.. however the hum and noise from pool filter’s meant his mum and dad had a very restless night. That aside.. we had a lovely time. Many thanks .
