Nestled within the heart of St Issey, a hamlet just outside Padstow, you can find our ARC – an 18th Century build restored to its original plan by Parti Architects.
In a moving assembly of light, material and space, the interior of ARC Padstow exhibits the honesty and authenticity of the building’s past through the use of exposed Cornish slated walls, original beams, restored historic fireplaces and other raw materials that combine the cottage and the contemporary together.
Crafting decadent forms alongside a peaceful, contented spatial ambience, there is something special found within its walls.
Something lively, something poetic and something familiar.
But really, it's hard to call The Arc of Padstow anything other than a home.
A home made just for you. Formerly a listed Manor House, Courthouse and Mill, the building is united together by the characterful garden sat at the heart of the property, rigged with garden rooms, an oval sun lawn, outdoor kitchen and wood-fired hot-tub. Entertaining 26 guests spread across 12 en-suite rooms – fortified by five reception spaces – there is plenty of room to relax, recover, dance and dine. Ground Floor: Living room: (No TV), Open Fire Dining room: Patio Doors Leading To Garden Kitchen: Breakfast Area, 2 x Electric Oven, 2 x Electric Oven, Induction Hob, Microwave, Fridge/Freezer, Dishwasher, Coffee Machine, Washer Dryer Living room 2: Freeview TV, Open Fire Playroom: Games, Toys Separate Toilet 1. The first floor includes Bedrooms 1–4. Bedroom 1 – Super king bed with bath and walk-in shower Bedroom 2 – Super king bed with shower Bedroom 3 – King bed (no bathroom, located on the stairs) Bedroom 4 – Super king bed with shower Bedroom 5 – Zip-and-link bed, can be set as twin singles or a super king, with shower Bedroom 6 – Zip-and-link bed, can be set as twin singles or a super king, with bath Bedroom 7 – Zip-and-link bed, can be set as twin singles or a super king, with an en-suite bathroom including a bath Bedroom 8 – Zip-and-link bed, can be set as twin singles or a super king, with an en-suite shower room, plus two smaller single beds Bedroom 9 – King bed with shower Bedroom 10 – King bed with bath Bedroom 11 – King bed with shower Bedroom 12 – Super king bed with bath Please note, Bedroom 12 cannot be configured as two single beds, as they will not fit. Coach transport can be arranged (fees may apply) if required for group trips out with no driving. Tucked west of the River Camel, the balmy fishing port and harbour town has become ubiquitous for its delicate dining scene and remarkable trails, dutifully set within stone’s throw of the Seven Bays, and the accompanying dramatic coastline and awe inspiring pastoral landscape of North Cornwall. ARC is a curated and crafted collection of the most remarkable homestays, from the minds of London-based architecture studio Parti and design studio Regular Practice. Designed to be shared, ARC effortlessly combines the charm and attention to detail of boutique hotels with the repose of rural life; embodying a modern luxury that replaces glitz, glamour and bling with an architectural elegance, comfort and purpose. Comfortably hosting up to 30 people per house, our ARCs are curated experiences like no other; furnished with all the creature comforts and convenience needed to make your stay as easy as possible. Guests can plan as much or as little as they’d like, using our online Lobby to curate their stay; from the best local breakfast delivered to your door, and a private bartender for cocktails night, to in-house yoga and a personal photographer to document the getaway. Throughout the homes you’ll find the latest extraordinary work from our ARC Salon, an ever-updating inhouse cultural program exhibiting the artwork of emerging talent – created to support the greatest local artists, designers and thinkers.
There to admire and inspire, all pieces are also available to purchase as a lasting keepsake of time well spent, together. In order to ensure the tranquility and comfort of our wonderful neighbours, we kindly request that guests consider their needs, particularly after 10 pm. To maintain the peace, we ask that the courtyard is not be used during the night hours, and all doors leading to this area be kept closed.
However, guests are still welcome to enjoy the internal Fire pit courtyard after 10 pm, while displaying courteous behaviour.
Our attentive ARC Manager actively oversees these measures, fostering a harmonious coexistence between our valued guests and the local community. Please note, the table in the dining room seats 18 as standard but can seat up to 20. Access Info: -Accessible parking immediately next to building. -Downstairs WC in entrance hall -One bedroom w/en-suite walk in shower is on ground floor level, with its own separate entrance door and 3 steps out to car parking area. -Ground floor reception rooms are on slightly differing levels of 3 or 4 steps up/down. -Patio and hot tub area is on the level from dining room -Outside kitchen/dining, lawn and firepit area are on a higher level up several steps. A great place to stay for the family. Plenty of room and amenities. Kitchen is well equipped. Loved the outside seating area. We had fab weather too which is always a bonus! A great place to stay and explore the beaches of North Cornwall.

The house is spacious even on full occupancy it does not feel cramped. The kitchen is well appointed with lots of crockery, serving dishes and cookware. The outside space works well and the local team are just super. Beds are super and everything works well. Lots of outdoor and indoor spaces for break outs.

We had a wonderful 60th party with friends and family. The house was perfect for 3 nights and accommodated 26 of us really well. The kitchen was very well equipped and we managed to cook several meals without a problem. Located just outside Padstow we had plenty to keep us amused. Would definately recommend for a large group.
