Being a relatively small city, exploring on foot is a great option.
For variety, take day trips to the lovely beaches and golf courses of East Lothian or the Borders.

Bear in mind that everything is uphill from the apartment. It takes 30-40 mins walk (uphill) to get to the Royal Mile.
The apartment itself is lovely, although it needs a map as we kept walking into a cupboard to get to the bathroom.
Very quiet location and comfortable.

A well appointed property in a great location for exploring Edinburgh and surrounding area.
Very quiet community, well equipped apartment. Paintwork a little tired in places but overall cleanliness very good.
Good pubs and restaurants nearby and so much to do in Edinburgh we'll have to come back...
