Casa Menaica lies surrounded by olive trees about 1 km outside the fishing village of Marina di Pisciotta. From the bedrooms and right in the morning you have got the best view of the sea.

Uralte, groß gewachsene Olivenbäume und das weite kobaltblaue Meer bestimmen das Landschaftsbild um das mittelalterliche Pisciotta. Direkt an der Steilküste in einem Olivenhain, der sich zum Meer neigt, liegt der aus einer Handvoll Häuser bestehende Weiler Acqua Bianca in Marina di Pisciotta.

Das helle, luftige Ferienhaus Casa Menaica fügt sich harmonisch in die silbriggrüne Olivenlandschaft ein. Aufgrund der leichten Hanglage haben Sie von hier einen schönen Blick zum Meer und auf die von Sarazenentürmen bewachte Cilento-Küste.
Das mit Olivenbäumen und Macchia Mediterranea bestandene Grundstück ist zum Teil mit Bruchsteinmäuerchen begrenzt.

DAS FERIENHAUS UND DIE MENAICA
Der Name des Hauses bezieht sich auf die Menaica, die traditionelle Art des Sardellenfangs der Fischer von Pisciotta. Abends sieht man vom Balkon aus oft die beleuchteten Fischerboote vor der Küste liegen und auf die Sardellenschwärme warten.

Im Erdgeschoss der Casa Menaica befinden sich der großzügige, ca. 35 qm große Wohnraum mit Küchenbereich und ein kleines Bad. Vom Wohnraum haben Sie Zugang zur überdachten Terrasse mit den markanten Rundbögen. In der 1. Etage finden Sie 2 Schlafzimmer (Doppelbett; zwei einzelne Betten) und ein weiteres Bad. Von beiden Schlafzimmern haben Sie Zugang zum großen Balkon, der die gesamte Hausbreite einnimmt und einen stimmungsvollen Meerblick bietet.
Ihr Auto können Sie direkt am Haus parken.

WEITERE INFORMATIONEN
Der hübsche Strand von Marina di Pisciotta ist über einen schmalen Fußpfad nach ca. 800 m erreicht. Der Ortskern von Marina di Pisciotta mit Lebensmittelgeschäft, Bar und Restaurants ist etwa 1,5 km entfernt.

TIPP: Von Marina di Pisciotta führt ein 1 km langer Fußweg oder eine 3 km lange Straße nach Pisciotta. Das mittelalterliche Dorf türmt hoch über dem Meer mit seinem von kleinen Gassen durchzogenen centro storico und wartet auf Ihren Besuch.

Ancient, huge olive trees and the wide cobalt-blue sea define the landscape around medieval Pisciotta. At the steep coast, in an olive grove sloping towards the sea and not far from Marina di Pisciotta, lies the hamlet of Acqua Bianca with its handful of houses, among them Casa Menaica.

The bright, airy house blends harmoniously into the silvery-green landscape of olive trees. Due to the slightly sloping location, you have got a beautiful view of the sea and of the Cilento coast 'guarded' by Saracen towers.
The property lush with olive trees and Mediterranean macchia is partly bordered by small rubblework walls.

THE HOLIDAY HOME AND THE MENAICA
The name of the house refers to the menaica, the traditional method of anchovy fishing practiced by Pisciotta’s fishermen. At night, from the balcony, you often see the illuminated fishing boats lying offshore, waiting for the shoals of anchovies to arrive.

The ground floor of Casa Menaica includes the large, ca. 35 m² living-dining room with kitchen area and a small bathroom (shower/WC/bidet). The living area opens onto the roofed terrace with its distinctive round arches. The 2 bedrooms (double bed; twin beds) and a bathroom (shower/WC/bidet) are found on the 1st floor. Both bedrooms open onto the large balcony, which runs the width of the house and offers an impressive view of the sea.
Furnishing of Casa Menaica includes washing machine, WiFi (not suitable for telework) and SAT-TV; a children's bed can be provided on request. Parking is available next to the house.

FURTHER INFORMATION
800 m along a narrow footpath take you to the lovely beach of Marina di Pisciotta. The village center with grocery store, bar, restaurants is ca. 1.5 km off.

TIP: a walk from Marina di Pisciotta to Pisciotta, either along a 1 km footpath or along the road (3 km). The medieval village, perched high above the sea, awaits you with a lovely centro storico criss-crossed by small alleys.

Pass relaxing days in the Cilento and experience a perfect holiday of Italian dolce vita, bathing at magnificent beaches and hiking through the picturesque, green landscape with the sea always in sight.
