Living Room
Situated on the ground floor, this gorgeous room is open plan with the dining area and is furnished with a Smart flat screen TV, a large sofa and coffee table.
A lovely window seat with cushions has views down The Digey and is a great spot for reading and relaxation Kitchen The contemporary kitchen is features a range of large and small appliances which include an electric single oven and grill, gas hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, Nespresso pod coffee machine, kettle, toaster and microwave.
An iron, ironing board and vacuum cleaner as well as a selection of glasses, cutlery, crockery, cookware and utensils are provided *Guests will need to supply their own pods Dining Room Open plan with the living room it features a table and 6 dining chairs Master Bedroom Situated upstairs on the first floor this bedroom has features a king size bed, bedside tables with lamps, a built-in wardrobe, mirror and Smart TV *A hairdryer is provided Bedroom Two Situated on the first floor, this children’s bedroom has a fab window seat with cushions, and plenty of books to read.
Furnished with a triple bunk bed, bedside table, bedside lamp, wardrobe and mirror *Suitable only for children, with bedding available on request the room also has a large chair which converts to a single bed with a Cocoon memory foam base for comfort Family bathroom Located on the first floor, the family bathroom includes a bath with shower over (and hand held attachment), wash basin, WC, heated towel rail, mirror and cabinet Shower room Located on the ground floor off the kitchen with electric shower, a hand basin, and WC Outside An open courtyard to the side of the cottage is furnished with an outdoor dining set. This area belongs to the cottage and is for the sole use of Old Arch guests although it is open to the lane.
There is space to store wetsuits and boards out the back (though not secure) Parking Guests have use of a private parking space at St Ives Rugby Club, (a 10-minute walk downhill and 20 minutes uphill). However, a regular bus service to the Rugby Club operates from outside The Tate Gallery (about half a minute’s walk from the cottage)

Dating back to 1760, this traditional fisherman’s cottage is now a beautifully renovated home that tucks itself away on the cobbled Digey in the sought-after Downalong area of St Ives, creating a gorgeous seaside retreat for family holidays.
Laid out over two floors, Old Arch Cottage is deceptively spacious, and though refurbished to an exceptional standard, it still retains many of its wonderful original features. Exposed stone and inset pilchard smoking boxes nod to the property’s humble provenance, while the reclaimed ships’ timbers used for the ceiling beams and fireplace add a sense of cosiness and charm. On the ground floor at street level, there's a lovely open plan lounge / diner as well as a superb separate kitchen. Also on this floor, a shower room makes for speedy de-sanding after days spent down on the beach. Upstairs are the family bathroom and two bedrooms which include an airy master with comfortable king size bed and Smart TV, and a children’s room with plenty of books to read, a window seat with cushions, and a triple bunk bed. Guests who enjoy sunshine dining have their own open courtyard with a table and seating to the side of the cottage.
Possibly one of Cornwall’s most famous coastal towns, St Ives is a dream holiday destination with excellent eateries, shops and galleries. Best known for its picturesque harbour and iconic Tate St Ives art gallery which sits right on Porthmeor beach, there are many other family-friendly attractions in the area too like the Trewyn Sub Tropical Gardens and The Barbara Hepworth studio and garden. The clear turquoise water of the bay invites visitors to surf, paddle-board, swim or kayak all year round while sandy beaches like Porthmeor and Porthminster are terrific for sandcastle building, sunbathing and strolling. And if you fancy exploring slightly further afield, the coastline around St Ives Bay offers walking routes along the coast path with stunning sea views, as well as a clutch of other beautiful beaches including Carbis Bay, Upton Towans and Gwithian.

In the heart of St Ives, few minutes walk to the UK's best beach and all the shops etc. Pick up/drop off close by, and off site parking was a bonus.

Great location but in need of a bit of attention. Downstairs shower doesn’t work properly, cracks in a couple of windows and some areas in need of more of a deep clean.

Great little place in St Ives, beaches, walking, shops, pubs, restaurants all at your doorstep. Can’t wait to come back here again next year.
