Welcome to Backstugan, our historic summer cottage perched on a hill in a protected nature reserve, overlooking the Öresund.
With uninterrupted sea views, golden sunsets, and no traffic in sight, this is a peaceful retreat for families, couples, or friends who want to slow down and reconnect with nature. The house stands alone, surrounded by open grass fields with the forest just behind you and the sea stretching out in front.
A sandy beach in Domsten is only a 5-minute walk away, making it easy to start the day with a swim and end it with a sunset BBQ in the garden. Backstugan sleeps up to 6 adults, with space for up to 3 additional guests on inflatable beds.
Inside, you’ll find three bedrooms with comfortable 160 cm beds, a full kitchen with an induction stove, and a hot shower.
All furniture is new, while the house itself has been lovingly preserved in its original, simple country style — that timeless charm is part of what makes Backstugan special.
If you’re looking for sleek and modern, this may not be the right fit; if you’re looking for character, calm, and authenticity, you’ll feel right at home. The large private garden is perfect for children, dogs, and long summer evenings.
Enjoy BBQs, ball games, kubb, or a round of badminton, or borrow our tennis rackets and head to the nearby tennis court just 5 minutes away.
The property is very family- and pet-friendly, and dogs are warmly welcome. Bedsheets are provided; please bring extra towels for the beach.
There is no Wi-Fi and no heating, so we recommend packing accordingly and embracing a more unplugged, nature-focused stay. On the same property, in a separate house, lives our father Christian, who will personally welcome you, hand over the keys, and be happy to help if you have any questions during your stay. Backstugan is a place to breathe, unwind, and enjoy the simple pleasures — sea air, open space, and time together.
