If you want to explore West Asheville, there's a great website OnHaywood dot com (spelled out because Airbnb removed the link). This website has links and info on West Asheville restaurants, shops, music venues, clubs and businesses. Haywood Rd is the main street in West Asheville. Our Airbnb is on Haywood Rd, on the east side, between the River Arts District and central West Asheville. Some people call it "East West Asheville" because it is the east side of west Asheville. Some of my favorite places on Haywood Road are (in no particular order): Coffee Shops: Battle Cat Odds Cafe Izzy's Coffee Shop Breakfast: King Daddy's Chicken and Waffles Sunny Point Cafe Biscuit Head West End Bakery Lunch and Dinner: West End Bakery (lunch only) Zia Taqueria Taco Billy's Nine Mile (Jamaican Pasta) Buffalo Nickel The Admiral (dinner) WALK Standard Pizza Banditos Breweries/Pubs: Oyster House Brewery Universal Joint UpCountry Brewing The Wedge Brewery (River Arts District) Urban Orchard (cider) Westville Pub Music Venues: ISIS (music and restaurant) The Mothlight The Grey Eagle (River Arts District) Dive Bars: The Double Crown Desoto Lounge The Odditorium Groceries: Westvillage Market (organic bodega style store) Ingles Grocery (conventional grocery store) I hope this helps, but feel free to let me know if you have questions.
