How to avoid Host Cancellations
A positive hosting experience begins with a reliable booking process. We understand that unexpected circumstances may arise, but we take host cancellations very seriously, as they carry significant repercussions that can ripple through various aspects of your business.
To minimize the risk of cancelling, we strongly recommend you to:
- Regularly check your calendar to ensure it reflects your accurate availability.
- Block dates in advance for personal use, maintenance, or other needs.
- Keep booking preferences up to date, including minimum and maximum stay requirements, buffer nights for preparation if needed, etc.
- Work exclusively with Holidu as a distribution platform to minimize the risk of overbookings, or to coordinate with your Account Managers to set up iCal synchronization properly.
- Adjust pricing in advance for special dates and review your discount strategies to ensure they align with demand, and to avoid cancellations due to underpricing.
Every hosting journey comes with learning experiences. By following these guidelines, you can reduce the likelihood of cancellations, while elevating your credibility as a trusted Host.
